Glossary
- Total eclipse - a solar eclipse where the Moon appears larger than the Sun. Result is that solar disk is blocked. Sky is darkened and some stars/planets may be visible.
- Annular eclipse - a solar eclipse where the Moon appears smaller than the Sun. Result is a ring or annulus visible. Sky remains fully lit, maybe a little darker.
- Eclipse chaser - one who has chased a solar eclipse and appears in the log.
- Eclipse count - the number of solar eclipses logged by a chaser.
- Totality count - the number of Total solar eclipses logged by a chaser.
- Annularity count - the number of Annular solar eclipses logged by a chaser.
- Time in totality - total time logged for Total solar eclipses.
- Time in annularity - total time logged for Annular solar eclipses.
